We’re not sure how much doubt a person could have had before, but in the interest of being crystal clear, Verizon Wireless will make the BlackBerry Tour available online and in stores on July 12th for 9 with a two year agreement. You can preorder the device starting from this moment on.

Hackers who use keystroke captures and botnets to prey on other, less adept computer users are pretty low in my book….how much lower are they then when their preferred targets are still in grade school?
A scam to convince users of the popular family-safe web community Neopets to run a keystroke capture program and thus compromise their PC and all information on it has recently been brought to my attention by Christopher Boyd at SpywareGuide. Now this is not technically on topic here at MobilitySite, but there are enough regular readers out there with kids on the net that I felt it was a worthwhile thing to bring up.
Read on after the jump to learn more…

Sure, Dragon Quest IX only has local multiplayer, but it does have multiplayer! This is a video of it.
Each player controls his or her avatar, and it is possible for up to four players to play together via the DS’s local WiFi connection. Players can stray from their party, but it might be best to stick together…
The game will be released next month in Japan. No word on a North American release yet.

Created by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research, these robots pay tribute to the Science Museum’s (UK) 100th by singing their version of happy birthday. Videos after the break.
What’s interesting about these bots is the fact that they’ve actually been programmed to communicate and teach each other to sing through the process of singing to each other.

People have used the power of wind for ages, ever since they needed to go from a place to another or to maintain their commercial relations with people from other countries. The American continent was discovered this way, so the humanity should be thankful that such a possibility has always been at its disposal in order to evolve.

And if you are the type of person that like to go sailing the seas, as a recreational activity that is meant to fill up your free time, then you should welcome the Sea-Quad. This kite sailing catamaran was especially designed for those who want to enjoy not only a safe, but also a very entertining sailing day.
The “amphibious catamaran”, as the company described it, can be driven by one or two persons (no more than two) both on sand and water. A great advantage of Sea-Quad is that you can easily control it and has a bar that is connected to the kite. So, all the pilot has to do is to just take the kite in the right place: into the wind, I mean.
For the moment, the Sea-Quad is in the concept phase. Or in the development phase, call it as you like. But what won’t be on your liking is the hefty price which is said to be of approximately ,950, when the boat is released. Quite much, right?

You wanted something sporty, but due to additions to the family, a minivan is as athletic as its going to get. But if that minivan is the 2010 Honda Stream, you can still satisfy your sporty urges thanks to Mugen. The practically in-house tuner has developed a full line of interior, exterior, aero, performance, handling and cosmetic parts for the people mover — from typical Mugen mods like spoilers and wheels to a performance air filter and TypeT touring brake pads. If you add the sport suspension to your minivan, well, maybe you really do need to get a different car.

Alright, I’m not 100% sure if it is real iPhone or not. A dude went recording with his new iPhone 3GS at the poolside and loses control of the device and dropped into the pool. He takes it out quickly and fortunately it is still working. Whether it is true or not, do not test out your own. Video after the break.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-WH1 (aka DMX-WH1) is a waterproof digital camcorder with IPX8 (full water submersion) certificate. It has a 1.1 Megapixel image sensor, a 30x optical zoom lens, digital image stabilizer and ISO up to 1600. There is a 2.5-inch LCD display.
TrustedReviews has a in depth look at the camcorder and comments:
Verdict
On paper, Sanyo looked like it had stolen a march on Panasonic with the Xacti VPC-WH1, as the first consumer-oriented waterproof HD camcorder. But whilst its moisture-repelling capabilities are commendable, video performance in poorly lit underwater conditions isn’t so outstanding. Nevertheless, you will still be able to grab many moments of aquatic pleasure, and at under £300 it’s incredibly good value. So this may not be the perfect HD video water baby, but at least Sanyo’s Xacti VPC-WH1 won’t mean you have to dig deep to dive deep.

As well as their NVIDIA Ion-equipped version, Lenovo have revealed a VIA Nano based IdeaPad S12 netbook. The 12.1-inch WXGA machine uses VIA’s Nano ULV 2250 processor, running at 1.30GHz, together with the company’s integrated Chrome9 HC3 graphics chipset.

Like its Intel-based brethren (which are available in both integrated-graphics and Ion forms), the Nano IdeaPad S12 has 1GB of RAM, a 150GB 5,400rpm hard-drive and WiFi b/g. There’s also a standard 6-cell Li-Ion battery. We’d obviously expect graphics performance to lag behind the 1080p-capable version.
What you do get with the Nano S12 is a cheaper machine. Prices start at 9, compared to at least more for the Intel models, and it’s listed as beginning shipping in “more than four weeks” time.

We’re getting closer, WinMo fans. Mozilla has just released the second Alpha build of its highly, highly anticipated mobile version of Firefox. Still dubbed Fennec for the time being, Windows Mobile users who aren’t infatuated with Skyfire can now head over to Mozilla’s website and download the official Alpha 2 version of the browser. This latest version is still a testing version as the name might suggest, and it’s quite rough around the edges. Nonetheless, progress is steady and this latest version includes the following improvements:
This release is available for anyone running Windows Mobile 6 — not just HTC Touch Pro users like the last release. Woo hoo! If anyone takes the plunge and installs this alpha version, hit us in the comments section with your first impressions.
