Yesterday I talked about the cool Maze of Time concept watch that used different colors to show the time in digital numbers. The watch was cool, but it looks like a cheap hunk of junk next to the awesome N4 watch from French watch designer Francois Quentin.

The watch displays time with orange numbers on black rotating discs that look like a digital readout. The cool watch is officially known as the 4N-MVT01/D01 and is limited to only 16 pieces. The display and movement of the watch are mechanical with exposed gears and sprockets. The movement of the watch is powered by manual winding and displays time in with a 12-hour clock.
Each of the three discs that are used to display the time are made from aluminum or titanium and held inside a carbon cage structure. 4N will offer the watch in 18K white gold and platinum versions. The dial is covered by a sapphire glass crystal and the band will be offered in a variety of materials. Pricing is unknown, but with the materials and design, this is definitely one of the “if you have to ask” types of products.

Usually, when an ISP posts service downlink and uplink speeds, you have to take them with a grain of salt. Like a 20 MPG rating on a Hummer H2, your real world results “may vary.” It is, however, a great sign when an ISP says their network tests were, “faster than we’ve ever suggested” and that their, “network team is shocked.” Those were the words Verizon spokesman Jeffrey Nelson had to say about Big Red’s latest LTE network tests. Verizon’s Boston and Seattle LTE test networks are reporting speeds that range from 5-12 Mb/second on the download and 2-5 Mb/second on the upload. Verizon had initially quoted downlink speeds of 6 Mb/sec on its LTE network. Big Red says it is on track to light up its 4G network in 25-30 markets by the end of 2010.

Wondering if your HD2 can run Windows Phone 7? Some rumors are saying that the HD2 WILL get updated, but ZDNet received a statement from a Microsoft mobile spokesperson:
“For Windows Phone 7 Series we are enforcing a strict set of hardware requirements to ensure a consistently great experience for end-users and developers. While we cannot confirm that WM6.X phones that satisfy those requirements will be upgradeable, every Windows Phone 7 Series device will be upgradeable with improvements and features we deliver with subsequent Windows Phone 7 Series releases. We currently do not have plans to update the HTC HD2 to Windows Phone 7 Series.”
So there you go. No official Windows Phone 7 upgrade for HTC HD2 users. Although I’m pretty sure someone will create a “unofficial” Windows Phone 7 ROM for the HD2…

The 2010 World Cup draws near, and that means one thing: football. OK, two things: football, and an EA Sports football game cashing in on the World Cup.
World Cup 2010 is essentially FIFA 10 with a focus on national teams, the reduction in available sides hopefully compensated for by an increase in polish and incidental detail, making the most of that expensive FIFA World Cup license.
It’ll be out in April, for the 360, PS3, Wii and PSP.

Ubisoft’s DRM servers have gone down, causing all of their DRM-enabled games to be unplayable. For those who don’t already know, their new system “requires players to always be online when they play games, even in singleplayer, or try to save their progress.”
Although Ubisoft promised when it announced the system that it would monitor servers 24/7 and ensure that there was constant support, customers have been cut off from content for 10 hours and Ubisoft’s response from Community Managers seems slow-moving.

Everybody likes to listen to music. In our days, there are a lot of devices which have music capacities like mobile phones, CD-Players, FM Radios and even laptops and computers. But, the most practical and popular music device is a MP3 Player. Even if these devices can only play music, the quality of sound will not be evened by any other device. On the market you can find a lot of models of MP3 Players, each giving a lot of features to satisfy every demanding customer. For this review we chose a Sony MP3 player which has proven to be the best device in its category: the Sony E-Series Walkman.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
The Sony E-Series Walkman, like its predecessors, comes with a fairly standard design. It comes with a case made of resistant plastic with only 44 x 8 x 83 mm in dimensions and 50 grams in weight. Perhaps you are thinking why an MP3 player has these dimensions. Well, the Sony E-Series Walkman comes with a 2 inch display, thing which certainly contributes at the increased size of the case. The case is available in any color you want so you can customize it by your preferences. As we said, the front side is occupied by a 2 inch display and below it, you will see the main playback controls, an option key (which brings up some contextual menus), a back / home key and a five-way control pad which helps you navigate in the menu. On the sides, like all MP3 Players, this model has a volume rocker, a hold switch, a standard 3.5 mm jack and a standard miniUSB port. These buttons are very responsive so you will not have problems in pressing them.
The 2 inch LCD TFT display has a native resolution of 240 x 320 inches and it supports 262K colors. With a powerful display like it you will be able to see clear images with a nice color quality. But why does an MP3 Player need a LCD TFT display? Equipped with this display, the Sony E-Series Walkman is not only able to play music. You can watch movies or simply view some photos during your free-time. Being one of the best MP3 players on the market, the Sony E-Series Walkman comes with a lot of supported audio and video formats. For audio, it supports MP3, WMA, AAC, LPCM, eAAC+ and WAV formats, almost all existent audio formats in the world. As we said, being capable to play videos it supports MPEG-4, H.264 / AVC and WMV formats. If you want to view some photos, it supports only the most popular format: JPEG. To be able to store all your favorite music, movies or pictures, this Sony MP3 Player comes with 8 GB of free space. If you are not satisfied by that, you can choose a second model of Sony E-Series Walkman which has 16 GB of free space, but it has a high price than this model presented here.
The sound quality, being one of the most important aspects for Sony Walkman models, is impeccable. With a lot of sound settings and a great balance between bass and treble, you will be capable to listen to the best music ever. Anyway, if you are interested in battery life, this Sony MP3 Player comes with a Li-Ion battery (which can be charged via miniUSB) capable to keep it on for 45 hours. So, if you are looking for a MP3 Player and don’t know what to choose we recommend this model available at a price of .

The OO is a wireless projector concept by David Riesenberg that project out High Definition 1080p data. It use either Wifi connection or internal SSD storage. It is powered by an internal Li-Ion battery (3 hours of operating) or using a single wire connected to a power source.
“With the combination of WIFI and internal storage, it can work as both extender/duplicator of an external display or as a wireless media projector/streamer with built in decoding capabilities.”
The projector can be controlled via its touchscreen remote and operated without it in extender/duplicator mode after pre configuration. More pictures after the break.

We have already heard the details of some of the Panasonic line of 3D TVs between CES and other announcements. Panasonic has offered up more details of its 3D TV push that is ready to start this year with the Wall Street Journal reporting that Panasonic will offer US consumers big discounts on its sets to push adoption.

The WSJ reports that Panasonic will discount its 3D TVs as much as 50% in the US compared to Japanese pricing when the sets land in Best Buy stores in America. Panasonic’s current fiscal year ends on March 31, and the electronics giant is looking to sell a million 3D TVs with half that amount in the US alone by that date.
Panasonic sets will be placed in only the largest Best Buy stores to start with TVs being offered in all 1,000 Best Buy locations at a later date. Panasonic’s 50-inch 3D model is expected to sell for about ,500 in the US compared to about 00 in Japan for the same model.

Last night was easily the best night of the year for the celebrity-crazed paparazzi. It also turned out to be a pretty darn good night for the smartphone paparazzi as well for two upcoming T-Mobile handsets were given the star treatment on their very own red carpet. First up was the HTC HD2, the infinitely lovable Windows Phone with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and gargantuan 4.3″ WVGA display, which looked as stylish as ever in Sense UI by HTC. Never one to miss an opportunity to show support for those in need, the HD2 took a moment to show off its Blockbuster app which will allow proud owners to download movies on demand. Immediately following the HD2 was the Nokia Nuron. Although the general consensus was that it was dressed more for the Kids Choice Awards than the Academy Awards, the Nuron made a bit of a stir when it shrieked at the top of its lungs how it had seen the light, converted to Buddhism and was now on a mission to convince everyone that less is more and that all other smartphones cannot possibly be as happy as it is living with S60, an OS that is on its way out. When will us ordinary folk get a chance to meet these stars? The Nuron is still a mystery, but we’re still very confident on a March 24th debut for the HD2.
