Update: I apologize for the deleted comments in the original post. This was an erroneous double post and unfortunately the only one the system let me call back was the first one, which most people had commented in. Unfortunately I can’t rescue or transfer those comments. Original post follows.
Ordinarily I don’t like to put more than one ‘Shop from the same commenter in, but arrow_six’s Bran Turismo was worthy. He later topped it with Elite Wheat Agents. I had to include both. arrow_six takes our (nonexistent) first prize for excellence.
smash_bro really thought outside the cereal box with his GameStop advertisement of great deals on used cereals - using ones the community had created. But vernon_v’s Kellogg’s vs. Capcom is my personal favorite. More than that, it’s a game that simply must happen.

We have seen some cool new tech gadgets that we simply must share with the rest of you as they are nice ideas, useful and fun accessories to have around the house and even to gift to our loved ones. The Audiovox Homebase Message Center is just a fancy improvement to the regular digital photo frame. In what ways it has improved you ask? Well, aside from being a digital photo frame, it is also a message board.
This means that you can now leave messages in different ways. It has a dry erase board when you can write message and simply wipe them clean anytime. You can also use post it notes and you can also record your own voice. It features a clock plus a digital calendar so it acts like a photo album and an agenda as well. The internal memory can hold up to 512 MB of pictures which will be shown on the 7 inch LCD. The AudioVox Homebase Message Center supports 5 different card formats as well as USB flash drives. Not only does this little gadget look fun, but it is also quite useful because one way or another you can send the message. And the beauty of it is that it only costs .
Skinput is the latest thing when it comes to cool new tech gadgets. In fact, Skinput is something that defies most human laws and brings technologies way too close to the human race. Skinput is more than a simple gadget; it is a conceptual technology which basically recognizes the user’s taps on his own skin. This concept can be transmitted to different gadgets. Imagine changing songs on your iPod by… clicking your arm. This may be a marvelous idea and a great step for the tech era but it’s a bit too close to chips implanted in our brain if you ask me.
Before explaining this next gadget, maybe it is best if you took a look at the picture below. This gadget is called the Beamz Interactive Music System and I find it pretty difficult to explain how this gizmo works. It looks similar to playing the guitar only here, the gizmo will play different sound when you block the path of the laser beams with your hands. You also get a lot of included CDs and 3 of them are used for set up and there is also a tutorial disc. With 30 Beamz track, you are now on the verge of becoming the new super cool DJ on the block. It can be connected to your laptop or your PC and it takes up a lot of free space in your house. With a price of 0, I’m not sure what this baby can do to make it worth the money. It is said that this gizmo can play 100 music instruments that can cover 20 different music genres. You can also buy different studio software to help you get started with your music career. Asus showed two all-in-one desktop PCs at the CeBit 2010, both from the ET2010 series. The first model is the ET2010PNT powered by Intel Atom D510 dual core processor and NVIDIA’s ION 2 graphics. It has 2GB of RAM (max 4GB).
The EeeTop ET2010AGT, on the other hand, gets AMD’s Athlon II X2 250u dual core 1.6GHz processor, ATI Radeon HD5470 graphics card and up to 8GB of memory. Both models have a 20-inch multitouch display.
There are also ET2010PN and ET2010AG models that lack multitouch.

During yesterday’s cloud computing talk at the U of W, Microsoft chief Steve Ballmer brought up out of nowhere a few points involving the future of the Xbox platform, swiftly hitting up several prospects of the potentially new form factors, price points, and options.
He revealed, “In the case of the TV we’ve got both strategies. We actually have a TV implementation in some senses built into Windows,” Ballmer said. “It works really well for small screen TVs that you might call a PC, but for that big screen device here’s a piece of hardware that we build, there’s no diversity. You get exactly the Xboxes that we build for you. We may have more form factors in the future that are designed for various price points and options, but we think it’s going to [be] important.”
Could we get something like a Vudu, or perhaps an Apple TV-esque media device from the tech giant as the next-generation Xbox? How will this tie in to the whole Windows Mobile scheme? We shall see.

We don’t have a whole lot to go on other than a couple of emails that were bounced around by some curious customers and some rather knowledgeable reps, but it certainly looks to us as if Verizon has begun training at least some of its employees on an EV-DO variant of the Google Nexus One. A tentative release date was not mentioned as one has not yet been communicated down the chain of command, but apparently this sucker will be sold in Big Red’s retail stores across the country once it’s available. Again, this is about as far as confirmed as it gets and we’re merely passing it on to our readers because we love you guys and gals to death, so please don’t come kicking in our doors if it doesn’t exactly pan out. The actual Nexus One won’t be available in stores, just through Google’s webstore.

Verizon’s newest Droid is coming real soon. It’s the Motorola Devour. It is very similar to the Motorola Droid, but this one is running a slightly older Android build (1.6), a weaker camera, and the screen isn’t quite as nice. The main differences are that the Devour is running MotoBlur, a custom version of Android focusing on social media and in my opinion, a much better design and keyboard. For several years now, Japanese developers have realized that there are bigger markets outside Japan — namely, the U.S. and Europe. Isn’t that limiting?
In his new “Itagaki’s Thought” column, former Ninja Gaiden designer and currently Valhalla Game Studios developer Tomonobu Itagaki is looking at the bigger picture.
“I’m doubtful about the Japanese game industry’s stance these days,” he writes. “Many say things like, ‘How do we sell games to Americans?’, ‘What games sell well in Europe?’, and ‘How we should face the world as Japanese?’”
“However, to me, that just seems to be narrowing down one’s own market,” he continues. “I would like to ask, but what about Moscow? How about China? Mexico? Or even Sicily? Brazil?”
According to Itagaki, “I’ve always been of the belief that there’s no nationality to entertainment. You need to make a game for everyone on Earth, one that anyone can enjoy. I have lived for a long time thinking this way, and it’s only getting stronger.”
Bet those living outside the U.S. and Europe are happy to hear that at least one game developer understands that the audience for games is truly global.
Valhalla Studios also has interview with some of the studios’ programmers — all of which were programmers or lead programmers at Tecmo.

While dog washing machines are nothing new in some parts of the world, they’ve finally made their way to Japan, and the unlucky animals that get stuck in them don’t seem to happy. Videos after the break.
It washes and blow dries dogs and cats* for the equivalent of just 3.50 pounds a massive saving on the costs of pet stylists who charge more than 20 pounds for a full wash and blow-dry. Naka Honda said he did not think the machine was cruel.
