A while back I had the opportunity to review the ThinkFlood RedEye and it was a great device but for “John Doe” to justify the price was a bit much in my opinion. Now with the new RedEye Mini, you can get in on the fun for roughly 1/4 the price. The new RedEye Mini plugs in to your headphone jack and uses the same software that I reviewed a while back and loved. I can’t promise that I’ll get to take a look at the Mini in person but if it as good as it sounds, I think I’ll change my recommendation to wait from buy. In my opinion the only real drawback of the original RedEye was finding a place for it in a crowded living room. The Mini solves that problem very easily. Hit the break for the press release!(…) Read the rest of RedEye Mini: All the IR goodness in a much better package! (633 words)

Last week, Chiaki Kuriyama, best known in the West as Gogo Yubari in Kill Bill, released her first CD single “Ryusei no Namida”, the theme for Gundam Unicorn.
Based on a series of popular light novels, original video anime Gundam Unicorn debuted on Sony’s PlayStation Network on February 20 with the six-episode series getting a Blu-ray and DVD release later this month. RX-0 Unicorn Gundam has already begun making appearances in video games, starting as an unlockable mobile suit Gundam vs Gundam Next for the PSP and arcades.
Kuriyama, who sings under the moniker “CHiAKi KURiYAMA”, does a solid, if not surprising job for her first single. The song is very, well, Gundam-y, and her voice is a nice fit. It’s all so effortless!
Previously, it was rumored that Kuriyama would be appearing the film version of Tekken, a rumor she denied when I interviewed her for my upcoming book on Japanese schoolgirls.

As part of his presentation at the RSA Security Conference currently taking place in San Francisco, Scott Charney, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President for Trustworthy Computing, discussed different tactics for combating the scourge of spyware that is infecting computers by the billions. One such proposition applies a health care paradigm to the problem and views spyware as a disease that requires a social program to identify, quarantine, and cure afflicted computers. The bulk of the cost to identify and cure these sick computers would be shouldered by the Internet service providers who could pass this cost onto consumers by presenting the problem as a public safety issue and funding it with general taxation. Would you pay a stupid computer user general tax to help better the Internet and keep it clean or is Microsoft just drunk with success at its recent victory over the Waledac botnet and spewing forth wild and crazy ideas?

Even though Greed is my main Android feed reader, another fabulous app that compiles feeds by category from major online sources like TechCrunch, Perez Hilton, et cetera, is Mippin Buzz Deck. Mippin has collected their Buzz widgets into one slick application that utilizes smooth scrolling “cards”, much like the Palm Pre, to display news articles. Surprisingly enough, Buzz Deck doesn’t include a widget but is an elegant and versatile feed app nonetheless.

While they were first revealed in January, courtesy of a blurry magazine scan, that was no way to get a good look at DC Direct’s line of Mass Effect 2 figures. This is.
The first line will feature four characters: Commander Shepard (male), Tali, Thane and Grunt. Shepard is a little…off, not just because my Shepard looks different, but because he doesn’t even look much like the “standard” model in the game. The rest, though, especially Thane and Grunt, look great.
Those wondering who will feature in the second series, it’ll comprise Miranda, Legion, Mordin and Garrus.

The Honda 3R-C is concept no more, as it was debuted at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. This Tron-inspired vehicle “combines the mobility and economy of a motorbike with an enclosed capsule for all-weather motoring and a third wheel for safety and convenience.” Video after the break.
The vehicle’s clear canopy covers the driver’s seat while the 3R-C is parked and not in use. When in motion, the canopy becomes an enveloping wind-shield that provides the driver, who sits low in the vehicle, with significant protection from the bodywork and doors.

If you are tired of having the same old wallpapers, this article is surely going to give you some ideas about cool backgrounds for PC. In fact, we have found a couple of website with pictures so cool and so numerous that you are going to have a hard time deciding which one to set as desktop background first.
www.wallpapers.com is not only a website which is easy to remember, but it also has some beautiful pictures for you to choose from. This website has different cool categories like holidays, seasons, water scene, nature, animals, sports, art deco, space, patriotic and spiritual. Of course, I had to check out the animal category as it has always been one of my favorites. The “animals” category has 6 different sub-categories like cats, dogs, woodland, oceanic, butterflies and horses. Every one of these sub-categories contains several pages of beautiful pictures. The “Butterfly” sub-category has some awesome images of different butterfly species. The pictures have very lively, sharp and vibrating colors so you can tell they were taken with a professional camera. This website will even show you the current resolution of your computer and allow you to download the wallpaper of your choice.
www.ewallpapers.eu is another website where you can find some amazing landscapes and images which make cool background for PC. You can choose from a very long list of resolutions which are available from the small ones for the iPhone and up to the 5120 x 1600 ones for dual monitors. You can choose between a lot of categories, like 3D, aircraft planes, animals, animated, girls, cars, computers, female celebrities, games, holidays, male celebrities, motorcycles, movies, music, nature, other, sports and world. All of these categories have super images like the ones inserted between these paragraphs. All of these pictures are taking with professional cameras so don’t expect them to be of poor quality and they are not pictures that anyone can take (unless they have this super cool Nikon camera and took some photography classes first).
www.wallpapers.org is another web address where you can find some cool background for PC. Even if I am quite impressed with the collection of pictures, I find the construction of the website to be of poor quality. I expected to find a much more colorful website or at least something more user friendly but this look like a website made by amateurs. However, the collection of pictures found here is quite superb. Some of the categories are similar to those found on most websites but there are a couple of things that you will not find just anywhere. The categories found on this website are: 3D, abstract, animals, anime, art, cartoons, comics, computers, fantasy, games, general, holiday, horror, hot model & celebrity, miscellaneous, movies, music, nature, photography, places, religious, scenery, schools, sci-fi, sports, tiles, TV, utilities, vehicles. Every such category has a super set of pictures which really gets your mind off the ugly looking website and leaves you concentrating on saving as many of these images in your desktop as you possibly can.

Filed under: Aftermarket, Sedan, Geneva Motor Show, Rolls-Royce, Luxury
We previously mentioned in our coverage of the 2010 Geneva Motor Show that a blue and yellow color combination was a potential recipe for disaster. As proof, we present to you the Mansory Rolls-Royce Ghost. Ok, so it’s technically blue and gold, but that just might make it worse. The Swiss tuner has long been known for its controversial styling, and this vehicle follows a long line of shocking cars like the Bentley Vitesse Rose that debuted at Frankfurt. That’s not to say we haven’t liked anything produced by Mansory. We very much dug the Linea Vincero that appeared at this show last year.
Is there anything we like about the blue baby Rolls? We can perhaps appreciate the larger turbochargers and upgraded exhaust system that boost horsepower to 720. Other than that we wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole. What Mansory calls “self assured coloring” we simply call garish, and the “styling interior refinements” are anything but. Thanks, but no thanks. We’ll keep our Rolls-Royce Ghost as is.
